Niamh O’Malley at Visual Carlow, Ireland

Niamh O'Malley will present a solo exhibition at Visual Carlow, Carlow, Ireland opening in September 2026, included in Gemma Tipton's article 'Art in 2026: Ten Shows to See' in The Irish Times.

The institutional exhibition will reimagine "gold glass" salvaged from the Irish Life Centre. Originally opened in 1977, the Dublin modernist landmark is undergoing renovation and O'Malley will use its gold-hued glass to reuse as a series of standard lamps, playing with light and shadow, history and transformation.
