Tanoa Sasraku
About
Tanoa Sasraku’s practice encompasses sculpture, drawing and filmmaking. Her work is rooted in the material and symbolic properties of land via landscapes, pigments, and minerals, and informed by a personal relationship to textiles and pattern making.
Tanoa Sasraku (b. 1995, Plymouth, UK) graduated from Goldsmiths College (2018) and Royal Academy of Arts (2024). A Tanoa Sasraku solo exhibition is currently open at ICA, London on view until 11 January 2026. In 2021, Sasraku was awarded the Arts Foundation Futures Award for Visual Arts. In 2023 Sasraku completed a residency at Porthmeor Studios, St Ives, UK.
Tanoa Sasraku’s work is held in the Arts Council Collection, UK; The Government Art Collection, UK; and The Box, Plymouth, UK.
